History of Frisco

The land that is known as Frisco today was founded in 1902 when the St. Louis/San Francisco Railway laid tracks in the area. While the original town was named Emerson, its name was changed to Frisco in 1904. It is believed that Frisco was named after the railway that ran through the city.
