History
The first people who settled near what is now the Fairview real estate market included a group of Caddo Indians who settled in the area at least 550 years ago. They are known for establishing thriving farms and trading networks that were visited by the famous French explorer Robert de La Salle in 1687.
The first known American settlers arrived in the Fairview real estate market in the 1850s. One of these settlers, a Pennsylvania native named Henry Wetsel, established one of the first Fairview TX homes near what is now Stacy Road.
Fairview remained an isolated community until the late 1960s when Plano-area residents discovered the value of Fairview's safe neighborhoods and transportation options. Fairview's population continued to grow during the 1970s and 1980s after McKinney-area residents discovered the value of Fairview homes located near Texas State Route 5 and South McDonald Street.
Fairview homes for sale are now located in a small Plano-area community that offers home buyers low tax rates, friendly neighborhoods and fast access to Plano's most popular attractions. These benefits make Fairview properties a fantastic value for anyone who relocates to the greater Plano area.
